London Transport Museum: For families with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we are opening outside our regular hours on four special days. Enjoy the Museum at a quieter time, free from the general public, and with many of the gallery sounds turned off. Explore our All Aboard family spaces in peace, have a go at our holiday activities, get hands-on with genuine parts of transport history, or make use of our Sensory Bags to support exploring the collection.

National History Museum: Dawnosaurs is a free event for children on the autism spectrum to enjoy the Museum with their families and siblings, free from the hustle and bustle of the general public. Visitors have access to a wide-ranging programme of activities, including a chance to see, meet and even touch live animals. All activities are supported by experienced, autism-aware facilitators. A dedicated Sensory Room will also be available for those children needing a quieter and calmer space. This event is best for children aged five to 15, and siblings are welcome.
Spaces are in high demand, and priority will be given to first-time attendees.
You can apply online for a place at Dawnosaurs three to four weeks before each event.

Science Museum: Early Birds is a relaxed morning for families with children who need a quieter environment to enjoy the Science Museum free of the hustle and bustle of the general public. Taking place on selected Saturdays and Sundays across the year, we open the museum early at 08.00, and some of our interactive galleries remain available exclusively to booked Early Birds guests until 11.00. As well as exploring some of the galleries you can enjoy a selection of fun workshops. Some of the loud noises are turned off, there are quiet areas for those needing to take a break, and additional information is provided before attending an Early Birds event.
All of these events are completely free and suitable for families with children under the age of 15, but registration is necessary. Booking opens about one month before the event.

Tower Bridge Experience: Tower Bridge will be opening its doors early for children with autism and other needs, as well as their siblings, families and carers. Families will be able to explore the Exhibition and Engine Rooms in a calm, relaxed atmosphere and also take part in a family craft activity if they wish. Also available will be our family trail, which visitors can complete at their own pace. Download our visual story to help prepare for your visit.
Places are limited, so booking is essential.
The Exhibition will open to the general public at 10.00 but you are welcome to stay for as long as you like.
