Wyvil Primary School joined the Computing at School (CAS) Network of Excellence in 2014. By doing so our school was making a public statement that Computing is important for our pupils. We where then able to become a CAS Lead School.
As a CAS Lead School Wyvil;
- recognises that Computing as a subject is important, and plays an important part of the school development plan;
- has developed a broad and balanced Computing curriculum that shows clear, planned progression;
- offers support to other schools in our Federation and Oval Learning Cluster communities, through sharing good practise e.g. shared schemes of work, running of joint Code Clubs and Computer Science Days, subject leader meetings.
At the end of each academic year we, as a Lead School, complete an annual activity audit in order to maintain our status as a lead School in the NoE.
