In Reception, we aim to create a smooth transition from nursery through play based learning. In order to ensure their happiness and security in their first year of school, we base their learning on four principles:

This provides a foundation for children to make the most of their interests and abilities. We aim to create an exciting and yet challenging learning experience which includes going on various trips every term and each child taking part in the Christmas play in December. Literacy and Numeracy, as well as their emotional and social development are included in these also.
