In Year 2, the children develop their independent learning skills in preparation for Key Stage 2. There is a great emphasis on securing the basics such as reading, handwriting and mathematics. 

The children enjoy a range of interesting History, Science, music and other topics. There is a full curriculum of Physical Education, Religious Education and Personal, Social, Citizenship and Health Education. Children also enjoy weekly lessons in Art or Design, Technology and MFL which are taught by specialist teachers.
